A redefining of event emails at Oracle, improving registration rates with visual components customized to event content, and decreasing build time with a configurable event skin.
̌
Supporting Events at Scale
This project consisted of defining a new method to scalably support email demand generation for Oracle’s 6 annual large-scale events, Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle OpenWorld Global Roadshow, Oracle Code One, Modern Business Experience, Modern Customer Experience, and Oracle Code Roadshow.
The existing custom-coding process made it difficult for marketing stakeholders to envision their content, and time consuming for analysts to create emails. By standardizing and automating the email creation process, we can produce more engaging templates at scale.
A Common Component Library
The system is comprised of a set of components easily skinned to match the specific look and feel of each event. The components are designed to minimize the use of sliced images and embedded text, which are generally not responsive or accessible.
The Brand Team define and load the thematic customization options, (colors, banners, images) in to the Template Builder system before the start of demand generation for each event.
Within the tool, marketers simply drag and drop components and input their content directly.
